“ShengLi No.1” as the latest fuel cell city bus is successfully developed by Shenli High Tech. Except the vehicle shell and chassis, Shenli developed the whole key power and control system, which not only lowers down 1/3 of the cost and also improves the reliability, safety and stability, as well as considerable increase of the lifetime for the fuel cell stacks.

Recently the latest energy vehicle “shanghai” Fuel Cell Vehicle has successfully developed by adopting the fourth generation engine provided by Shanghai Shen-Li, which generates 60 kilowatt and can attain a maximum speed of 93 miles per hour (mph).

By 2007, Shanghai Shen-Li has successfully developed chuangxin No. 1 bus which has higher output power, realiability and longer operation lifetime. The demonstration is being ongoing under the co-operation with SuZhou HaiGe Automobile Co.

Two of the new generation of 5~10kW fuel cell powered touring cart will take part in “The Challenge Bibendum”, the all world clean vehicles competition in Shanghai.

Shanghai Shen-Li starts to produce 5~10kW fuel cell powered touring carts and 5~10kW fuel cell power generators in pilot scale.

Since early 2004, Shanghai Shen-Li has completed all the field tests of the new generation of 5~10kW fuel cell powered touring carts and 5~10kW fuel cell power generators.

In Oct, 2004, both fuel cell powered city bus (B-type made by Tsinghua University ) and Passenger Car (START2) equipped with Shanghai Shen-Li fuel cell engines will take part in “The Challenge Bibendum”, the all world clean vehicles competition in Shanghai.

In Apr, 2004, the third generation of Shanghai Shen-Li heavy duty fuel cell engine (net power 120kW) was demonstrated on a B-type city bus made by Tsinghua University. This fuel cell powered city bus was used to bid the FC City Bus Demo Program sponsored by GEF and UNDP and the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology. This FC City Bus made its first show on “The Second International Hydrogen Forum” in Beijing, in May, 2004.

In May, 2004, the second generation of Shanghai Shen-Li light duty fuel cell engine (net power 40kW was demonstrated on the “START2”, the second fuel cell powered passenger car made in China.

In Sep, 2003, the second generation of Shanghai Shen-Li heavy duty fuel cell engine(net power 70kW) was demonstrated on a platform city bus made by Tsinghua University in China. Since then, this fuel cell powered city bus has been in smooth operation, the total mileage is over 2000 miles.

Since May, 2002, the first generation of light duty fuel cell engine has been in operation over two years with very little performance loss.

In July, 2003, the first generation of Shanghai Shen-Li light duty fuel cell engine (net power 30kW) was demonstrated on the “START1”, the first fuel cell powered passenger car in China made by Tongji University.

From Sep, 2002 to Sep, 2003, Shanghai Shen-Li had demonstrated a 5~10kW fuel cell power generator in Shanghai Chloro-alkali Chemical Company. This fuel cell power generator was operated on hydrogen, which is a by-product of Chloro-alkali Chemical Plant. The output power was recycled to produce Chloro-alkali Chemicals. The total operation time was more than 500 hours.

In Oct, 2000, the first generation 5kW fuel cell touring cart was developed, and shown on 2000 year Shanghai International Industry Fair.
